Patrick Bet-David is a man who inspires. He is a successful entrepreneur, emerging author and financial literacy crusader committed to helping people get more out of life.
His intriguing perspective on opportunity is colored from his experience as a young immigrant escaping war-torn Iran in the late ‘80s. He embodies a true rags-to-riches story that saw him first serving in the U.S. military before breaking into the financial services industry. Before turning 30, Patrick had started the People Helping People Insurance Agency, one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S.
As an author, Patrick is shaping the next generation of leaders with a voice of honest and sometimes controversial insights. In his first book, Doing the Impossible: The 25 Laws of Doing the Impossible, Patrick gives practical advice on how anyone can take ownership of his or her own life and rediscover dreams and aspirations. In The Next Perfect Storm, he shares a look at the current market conditions creating the next financial boom.
His latest accomplishment is the launch of a financial literacy website. GoAskNewton.com is a noncommercial website designed to help educate people on all things related to personal finance in a fun, entertaining way. The site uses simple tools and weekly finance lessons all presented by Patrick’s alter-ego “Newton” – a smart and friendly dog who is “financial literacy’s best friend”.
He has spoken to thousands of people at both an educational and corporate level on a wide range of topics. His talks have covered the importance of financial literacy, the importance of entrepreneurship in a vibrant economy, and the need for every individual to rebel against conformity in order to embrace a cause that matters.
A regular blogger for over two years, Patrick recently turned a weekly radio show in Los Angeles into a video blog series called “Two Minutes with Pat” where he shares practical advice on all facets of life. He is also the voice behind “Newton’s Bark”, a weekly finance lesson from GoAskNewton.com
Besides his traditional speaking engagements, Patrick has also hosted a series of one-on-one interviews with some of the world’s most interesting people, including renowned pastor Dudley Rutherford, presidential candidate Rick Santorum, former US Comptroller David Walker, and Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak.
